Mother Hospital has a Multidisciplinary ICU (MDICU), a Medical ICU, a Cardiac ICU and a Neuro ICU, so that different emergencies can be looked after in the right unit.
Many experts work together around each patient. Your admitting physician (the doctor under whom the patient was admitted) works closely with the ICU team, while the overall treatment inside the ICU is led by a Consultant Intensivist. An intensivist is a highly trained specialist whose sole focus is treating the most critically ill patients and managing complex life-support systems.
Our intensive care team is led by Consultant Intensivist Dr. Farhan Palathinkal. Trained in Critical Care at Lakeshore Hospital, Kochi, he brings extensive experience from his previous roles as a consultant intensivist at Sunrise Hospital, Kottayam, and Apollo Adlux Hospital, Angamaly. Supported by round-the-clock duty doctors, ICU nurses, physiotherapists, and dietitians, the entire team follows one unified treatment plan.
